ASDP offers three quality assurance programs.

Diagnostic Quality Assurance Exam

Open to physicians who practice dermatopathology or have a special interest in pathology of the skin or research therein.  The DQA Exams are available for credit for a three-year period after publication and provide immediate results and confirmation of credit earned.

IMPORTANT! The ASDP exam system will be taken offline on February 15, 2018, to transition to a new, improved platform. All exams will be unavailable during this time. If you start but do not finish and submit the exam, all answers entered will be lost with the transition to the new system and you will have to retake the exam in the new exam system to receive credit for the activity. No exceptions.


Immunofluorescence Proficiency Testing (Indirect Testing Only)

Open to laboratory directors, dermatopathologists, dermatologists and pathologists. This test is offered twice a year.

Spring Program: March 1, 2018
Fall Program: September 1, 2018

Laboratory Proficiency Testing

Open to laboratory directors, histotechnologists and dermatopathology trainees.

Laboratory Proficiency Testing is offered in spring and fall to help satisfy CLIA requirements for biennial testing.  Registration is not automatic.  You must register for Spring and Fall Laboratory Proficiency Testing in order to participate. Certificate of participation will be issued upon completion of each laboratory proficiency testing.
