Case 1:
A 75-year-old woman with a history of breast carcinoma of the left breast treated with lumpectomy and adjuvant radiation therapy 4 years ago presented with an erythematous plaque on her left breast.

Case 2:
A 41-year-old man presented with a firm subcutaneous mass on the posterior
neck.
|

Case 3:
A 57-year-old woman with a 3-week history of a 5mm erythematous nodule on the palm. Rule-out pyogenic granuloma.

Case 4:
A 44 year old male presented with 2 year history of skin nodules on forearm, elbow and foot. The patient was otherwise healthy.

Case 5:
A 42 year old woman presented with a subungual mass on her left index finger for unknown duration.
|

Case 6:
A 19 day old neonate presented with hepatospenomegaly, pancytopenia, conjugated hyperbilirubinemia, abnormal brain MRI, and erythematous to purplish macules and patches on abdomen, back and face. A bone marrow biopsy was negative for malignancy.

Case 7:
A 15 year old Caucasian female presented with a 2 year history of worsening erythematous papulovesicles and erosions on the eyelids, lips, and cheeks.
She had a history of "red eyes" for at least 6 years. Culture of a lip ulcer was negative for HSV but grew Staph. aureus. Oral cephalexin and valacyclovir were ineffective. A 4 mm trephine biopsy was obtained from skin of the left malar eminence.

Case 8:
This 25 year old woman presented with a one year history of self-healing ulcers on the tongue, upper lip, lateral canthus, and upper arm. A 4 mm punch biopsy from the upper arm was obtained to rule out pemphigoid and pyoderma gangrenosum. The findings were compared with those reported for prior biopsies from the tongue and lateral canthus.

Case 9:
This 54 year old man undergoing treatment for metastatic thymoma developed chronic diarrhea with negative stool cultures and a diffuse erythematous scaly rash on the face, trunk, and upper and lower extremities, without scalp or mucosal involvement. There was no history of bone marrow transplant or recent transfusion. A 4 mm trephine biopsy was obtained from the skin of the forearm.

Case 10:
A 56-year-old woman with ulceration, purpura and bullae on the inferior aspect of the breast.

A 17-year-old woman with a history of keratoderma, nail dystrophy, digital tumor, and multiple scalp cysts.

Case 12:
A 53 year-old man with widespread keratotic papules and a facial eruption for 34 years

Case 13:
A 49 yo woman complained of chronic itching for 1 year only in the perianal area. No family history of similar condition. DIF was negative. Pink-white papules, r/o warts.

Case 14:
A 52 yo Caucasian woman has a painful rash on the right third fingertip for 6 months. She underwent several incision & drainage procedures, and biopsies at another institution. Two sets of tissue cultures for acid-fast bacilli, fungi, and bacteria were negative. She was placed on several courses of cephalosporin antibiotics, topical clobetasol and acyclovir with minimal improvement.

Case 15:
A 48 year old HIV+, Hep C+ African American male had recently moved from New York to live with his mother in Detroit, during which time he discontinued taking his HIV medications. He presented with a CD4 count of 20 and a papular rash on the face, trunk and limbs that developed over 6 days. R/O syphilis, lichen planus, other infection.
