Molly A. Hinshaw, MD

Dr. Molly Hinshaw is Professor of Dermatology & Affiliate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory
Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health where she serves as Vice
Chair of the Department of Dermatology, Chair of the University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation
Finance Committee, and member of the UWMF Board of Directors (BOD).  

Dr. Hinshaw dedicates her life to dermatopathology and all it takes to continue to advance it.  She is
valued by her peers as an effective leader who can deliver on initiatives as evidenced by her consistent
promotion in leadership in professional societies and UWHealth.  She values and dedicates significant
intention, care and time to mentorship of the next generation of physicians and advocacy to drive the
high-quality practice of dermatopathology.  During her 20-year career as a dermatopathologist, she has
served as president of two professional societies and on the BOD of many professional societies
including the ASDP.  She has directed strategic planning retreats for the American Academy of
Dermatology and the Wisconsin Dermatological Society.  She has had formal leadership and financial
training (including through the Center for Creative Leadership in Colorado; the Exceptional Boards
Course in Florida, a highly competitive two-year Physician Leadership Development Course at UWHealth
& works with an executive coach).  Her leadership style is inclusive and team-oriented fueled by trust,
open communication, engagement of stakeholders, fiscal responsibility, coalition building, and strong
follow-through to action.
