What you should know before you submit a proposal:

With many uncertainties remaining surrounding the ongoing pandemic, at this time proposals will be considered for a one-year commitment for the 59th Annual Meeting only:

  • Short Course III is scheduled on Saturday, October 22,
  • Short Course IV is scheduled on Sunday, October 23.

Both courses will occur between 8:00 a.m.-Noon Central (3.5 hours with a 30-minute break), and are both currently planned to be held in person at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

The ASDP Program Committee will evaluate and select proposals. Proposal submitters will be notified by email in late March.

CME Requirements, Disclosures and Agreements:

The ASDP is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). As such, we are required to meet the ACCME’s expectations for our practice of continuing medical education. This means that everyone in a position to control the educational content of the ASDP meeting must disclose certain relationships and agree to participate in and plan the meeting according to the policies set forth by the Society to ensure that this activity is of the highest standard. The ASDP has put together the CME Activity Policies Manual to assist you in understanding the policies related to our educational activities. Proposal submitters should read the Society’s CME Activity Policies Manual before proceeding.

Meeting Registration:

All course directors and faculty are required to register for the meeting and pay the meeting registration fee. It is the course director's responsibility to communicate this information to the faculty.
