Access to plenary program recordings are available for those who attended the ASDP 58th Virtual Annual Meeting. Access to the session recordings has been extended to Monday, January 31, 2022.

If a Consultation or Seminar you attended was recorded, those session recordings are also available to access.

All recordings are available on the virtual meeting platform under each individual session page.

Don't Forget to Claim Your CME Credits

CME credits for the 58th Virtual Annual Meeting must be claimed by Friday, December 31, 2021. You can access the 58th Virtual Annual Meeting CME Claim Form here. You will need to log in with your ASDP website credentials.

Post-Course Online Self-Assessment

For participants who registered for the the Self-Assessment Course, the post-course online self-assessment must be completed by Friday, December 31, 2021.

To access the post-course exam:
  • Under the Education tab in the navigation, click on My Education and log in with your ASDP credentials. This will take you ino the ASDP Learning Portal
  • Click on CME Catalog. You should see the ASDP 58th Virtual Annual Meeting Post-Course Online Self-Assessent listed in your queue. To start the activity, click on the Begin button.
CME credit for this activity is included on the ASDP 58th Virtual Annual Meeting CME claim form. Do not complete the CME claim form until you have completed the Post-Course Online Self-Assessment.

58th Virtual Annual Meeting Learning Objectives

The educational mission of the ASDP is to teach, aid in the dissemination of knowledge and encourage research to improve the quality of the practice of dermatopathology. The annual meeting is primarily an educational one, offering members, fellows, residents and medical students lectures on current topics in dermatopathology, interactive sessions at the microscope, a self-assessment course, and opportunities for poster and abstract presentations.

After attending the 2021 Annual Meeting, participants should be able to:‎
  • Recognize histologic features of common, rare and unusual entities in dermatopathology.‎
  • Differentiate clinical and histological features of interesting, complex, difficult, and rare ‎disorders of the skin.‎
  • Demonstrate a methodological approach toward diagnosis of complex, challenging skin ‎biopsies.‎
  • Recognize important features of challenging cases and generate clinically relevant differential ‎diagnosis.‎
  • Recognize the role of advocacy in dermatopathology practice and identify avenues for ‎involvement to maximize impact in policy change.‎
  • Apply practice pearls derived from the experience of expert dermatopathologists to increase ‎diagnostic accuracy and improve patient outcomes.  ‎
  • Differentiate clinical and histological features of disorders of the skin that are more common in ‎patients with skin of color and underserved populations to increase diagnostic accuracy, and ‎improve patient care and outcomes.‎
  • Utilize a pattern-based diagnostic approach in conjunction with immunohistochemistry and ‎molecular genetic testing to improve diagnostic accuracy of cutaneous mesenchymal tumors.‎
  • Implement technologic advancements that emerged as a result of the pandemic to enhance ‎dermatopathology practice and education.‎
  • Recognize the importance of visual recognition in dermatopathology diagnosis
  • Utilize methods that can be applied to daily practice to reduce and prevent errors
  • Demonstrate greater understanding of the pathophysiology of skin manifestations of viral ‎infections.  ‎
